I don't know anything anymore

It is such a weird feeling to live in a world where I don’t understand anything. Although I conceptually grasp the internal combustion engine, hydro electric power, batteries, I have no idea how things like wifi and bluetooth work. None. Waves and magic. I take a certain pride in being able to fix equipment like a dehumidifier that stops working, or troubleshooting codes on an appliance. When it comes to modern wireless tech, I am clueless. There is a disconcerting unease in relying on things I don’t understand. And even though I read up on them, they are still waves and magic. Makes you feels small and powerless. Maybe that’s why I love my pencils, pens, paper so much: simple, comfortable, understandable.
